Automation templates

You can now use ready-made automation templates to build welcome automations, nurturing automations and RSS automations. The feature will guide you and create ready-to-use automation based on your choices. Automations made with automation templates can be easily modified and improved with the familiar Drag and Drop editor.

To create a new automation template, click the plus icon on the Automations page and choose the option Use templates on the pop-up window.

You can choose from these template styles:

  • Welcome automation, which you can use to create an automation chain to welcome persons who have joined your mailing list.
  • Nurturing automation, which you can use to send messages to persons who join your mailing list or segment.
  • RSS-automation, which you can use to send news feeds to your subscribers who have joined your mailing list.

Welcome automation

With welcome automation, you can greet persons who join your mailing list.

  1. Give the automation a name.
  2. Select the mailing list you want to send welcome messages to. New persons who join this list will receive a welcome message.
  3. Choose a waiting time. Messages will be sent after the set time has passed, starting from the beginning of the automation.
  4. Choose an email template. You can still edit the message in the next stage.
  5. If you want to add more messages to the automation, repeat parts 3 and 4.
  6. Click Send. After this, you can edit the automation in the workflow view. Remember to save the automation in the workflow view, when you're ready.

Nurturing automation

With nurturing automation, you can send messages to persons who join a mailing list or segment.

  1. Give the automation a name.
  2. Select either mailing list or segment. New persons joining the mailing list or segment will receive a welcome message.
  3. Choose a waiting time. Messages will be sent after the set time has passed, starting from the beginning of the automation.
  4. Choose an email template. You can still edit the message in the next stage.
  5. If you want to add more messages to the automation, repeat parts 3 and 4.
  6. Click Send. After this, you can edit the automation in the workflow view. When you're ready, remember to save the automation in the workflow view.

RSS automation

With RSS automation, you can send news feeds to your subscribers who have joined a mailing list. Newsfeeds can include the newest events, news, or new products in an online store. 

  1. Give the automation a name.
  2. Give the address of the RSS feed from which the data will be collected.
  3. Set the required amount of new articles for the automation to start.
  4. Interval: choose, how often the automation checks the RSS feed for new articles. If the required amount of new articles is found in the check, a new message will be sent automatically.
  5. Choose the mailing list you want to send a message or messages to.
  6. Choose the email draft to be sent. You can still edit the content of the message in the next stage. Remember to add the RSS item and correct feed to the message itself.
  7. Click Send. After this, you can edit the automation in the workflow view. Remember to save the automation in the workflow view when you're ready.

Export automation

You can now copy automations from LianaAutomation account to use them in another account. First, copy the automation from the Automations page by clicking Options on the automation you want to copy. Next, click Export automation to download the automation as a JSON file.

Import the automation to another account by clicking the plus icon on the Automations page. Then click Import automation on the pop-up window.

Give the automation a name and choose the file. Complete the action by clicking Add.
