The purpose of this guide is to explain how to link the Gravity Forms in WordPress into LianaMailer.

First, you need to install the Gravity Forms in your WordPress installation to use Liana's plugins for system integration.

Linking LianaMailer to WordPress

After logging in to your WordPress installation with your admin credentials, select the 'Plugins' option from the side menu, and then click on the 'Add New' option at the top.

After activating the add-on, open the "LianaMailer" section from the left menu, and then select "Gravity Forms" underneath it. This will open the following view:

Enter the API details you received from Liana's contact person into the fields provided, which can vary depending on your installation:

  • LianaMailer API UserID (number)
  • LianaMailer API Secret key (combination of numbers and letters)
  • LianaMailer API URL (complete address)
  • LianaMailer API Realm (for example, EUR)

Click 'Save Changes' to save the changes you made.

If the information is correct, you will receive a notification after saving that the connection is OK.

If the information is incorrect, please contact your contact person.

After installing the form plugin, you need to set up the list join separately for each form. Next, go to the 'Forms' option from the menu and select one of the forms.

After opening a single form, select "Settings" from the top, and then choose the "LianaMailer" option found underneath it.

On the settings page, first activate sending the form data to LianaMailer by selecting the "Enable LianaMailer integration on this form" option. Then select the following:

  • Site: choose the subscription page for the form
  • Mailing list: select the mailing list to which users will be added when they submit the form.
  • Consent: select the consent option for the user who is joining the email list.

Finally, click "Save settings" to save the changes.

Note: If the following fields do not activate after selecting the first "Site" option, you need to make changes in LianaMailer to the subscription pages or ensure that the mailing lists are defined as subscribable via the subscription and cancellation page. You can also try saving the settings after selecting the subscription page.

To configure the form data for your LianaMailer account, go back to form management by clicking on the "Edit" button at the top of the page.

After this, select from the right-hand side list under the Standard blocks section on the form a module called "LianaMailer for WordPress" and drag it onto the form.

Next, click on the block, which will open the field management into the Field Settings section on the right-hand side. In this view, you will see the fields that have been added to the selected subscription  page in LianaMailer. From the list, you can select which fields from the form you want to go into each field in LianaMailer so you can match the correct fields.

Once you have directed all the desired fields to their corresponding fields, you can save the page, and the information will then automatically move from the form to LianaMailer.
