User group rights

The views for creating a new group and modifying an existing group are similar.

1 You must give a name to a group, which should describe the purpose of the group, such as "Content Managers".
2 The type of the group determines whether the group members can access site administration or are they just users that can login to intranet or member site, for example.
3 You can set an image to a group. How the image displays on the site depends on the site's design.
4 Page rights are determined by ticking boxes to the rights you want a group to have. Rights are determined separately to all sections of the site, like pages, events, modules, users etc. This way the rights of different groups can be determined very precisely in terms of which sections of the site the group can use or modify.
