Plain text version

  • Updated

A very small part of recipients can't read HTML format newsletters and they are shown the plain text version of the letter. The version which is shown to the recipient depends on their email client settings.

When you're sending a preview of your newsletter, you get both the HTML format version, as well as the plain text version. This is only in order to check both versions, in the actual delivery only one newsletter version is sent to the recipients.

1 The text can be inserted into the plain text field.
2 The plain text version can also be done automatically from the HTML version by ticking the box Generate automatically. When the box is checked, the letter is automatically updated when changes are made to the HTML version. If you want to create the message according to the HTML version and even edit it yourself after that, click Generate from HTML version.
3 Finally, save the message.
