Question: Why doesn’t my newsletter display responsively in Outlook mobile?

If your newsletter doesn’t scale correctly in the Outlook mobile app—for example, two columns stay side by side instead of stacking vertically—it’s usually due to how Outlook interprets responsive CSS.

The Outlook mobile app supports media queries much more limitedly than most other email clients. In fact, Outlook currently only processes the first media query and often ignores any that follow. This change was introduced to the Outlook mobile app some time ago and commonly causes issues with multi-column layouts.
